3 Adani stocks among 15 BSE500 scrips that rallied 10-21% this week

New Delhi: Three Adani group stocks namely Adani Power, Adani Green and Adani Ports & SEZ, along with names such as IRCTC, HDFC AMC, Apollo Tyres, Hikal and Indiabulls Real Estate were among 15 BSE500 scrips that rallied anywhere between 10 per cent and 21 per cent this past truncated week.

The biggest gainer among all was Brightcom Group, which gained 21 per cent to Rs 44.55.This is after the company reported a 163 per cent YoY rise in net profit at Rs 277.24 crore on a 126.38 per cent YoY rise in consolidated revenues at Rs 1,480.61 crore.

The BSE500 index gained 162.80 points or 0.67 per cent for the four-session week to 24,299.20. The market was shut on Monday on account of Independence Day.

Hikal surged 19.70 per cent for the week to Rs 323.15.

Adani Power, which is on a winning run since August 10, gained 19.44 per cent to Rs 412.20 for the week. The company on Friday announced buying of thermal power assets of DB Power from Dainik Bhaskar Group for around Rs Rs 7,017 crore enterprise valuation.

Indiabulls Real Estate climbed 18.69 per cent to Rs 80.30 as the company in its investor presentation said it has cut its net debt by 54 per cent to Rs 464 crore during the three months ended June from Rs 1,005 crore in the March quarter.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals 14.51 per cent to Rs 879.35.

Happiest Minds Technologies (up 12.18 per cent), Hatsun Agro Product (up 11.71 per cent), Wockhardt (up 11.17 per cent ) and Mishra Dhatu Nigam (up 11.16 per cent) jumped 11-12 per cent for the week. Wockhardt was up as the drug maker completed its first site initiation visit for the pivotal Phase 3 global Clinical Study of its novel antibiotic WCK 5222.

Adani Green Energy gained 10.81 per cent to Rs 2,411.10. During the week, Adani Green received provisional approval from Sri Lanka for two wind projects of 286 MW and 234 MW for an investment of over $500 million.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone advanced 10.62 per cent to Rs 871.95. The Centre on Thursday prepared the Draft Indian Ports Bill, 2022, to do away with the port laws from the British era.

Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, IRCTC, HDFC Asset Management Company and Apollo Tyres were some other BSE500 stocks gaining over 10 per cent each for the week.
