Max Financial shares drop 7.39% as Sensex falls

Shares of the Max Financial Services Ltd. traded at Rs 700.65 on BSE at 02:03PM (IST) on Thursday, down 7.39 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 627.8 and a high of Rs 939.95.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 53.72 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 13.05 per share and 6.61 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 62,847 shares changed hands on the counter till 02:03PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 24187.37 crore and is part of the Insurance - Life industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 24.34 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 3.03 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 739.95 and Rs 694.85.

Promoters held 14.72 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2022. FII and MF ownership in Max Financial Services Ltd. stood at 23.76 per cent and 28.0 per cent, respectively.
