    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 78.5 points, or 0.46 per cent higher at 17,308.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Friday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Wipro, Maruti Suzuki, Ultratech: Wipro, Maruti Suzuki India, Ultratech Cement, SBI Cards, IndusInd Bank, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Supreme Industries, Tata Chemicals, Tanla Platforms, HFCL, Gillette India, CanFin Homes and Sonata Software are among the companies that will announce their March quarter results today.

    Wipro reports 4% YoY rise in Q4 profit; revenue from ops up 28%

    IT major Wipro on Friday said its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2022 came in at Rs 3,087.3 crore, up 3.87 per cent from Rs 2,972.3 crore posted in the same quarter last year.


    Axis Bank: The bluechip private lender reported a 49.77 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter to Rs 4,434 crore on a consolidated basis, helped by a steep reduction in money set aside for bad debts.

    Vedanta: The mining major reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 7,570 crore for the January-March quarter of 2021-22 on the back of higher sales volume, supportive commodity prices and operational efficiencies. The company had posted a profit after tax of Rs 5,105 crore in the year-ago period.

    PVR: The Film exhibition company announced that it has entered into a tie-up with Oma Cinema of France to introduce the concept of "cinema pods" in the Indian market. The announcement was made at CinemaCon 2022 at Las Vegas, a gathering of movie theatre owners from around the world.

    Colgate-Palmolive (India): The FMCG major said its board has approved the appointment of Prabha Narasimhan, a former senior HUL executive, as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company for five years. Narasimhan's appointment will be effective from September 1, 2022.

    Piramal Enterprises: The leading NBFC plans to raise up to Rs 700 crore through issue of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis. A meeting of the administrative committee of the board of directors of the company will be held on May 4, 2022, to consider and approve the issuance of NCDs for up to Rs 50 crore.

    Ambuja Cements: The part of Swiss building material major Holcim Group reported a 30.26 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 856.46 crore for the first quarter ended March 2022 on account of rising fuel prices. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 1,228.24 crore a year ago.

    Shriram Transport Finance: The non-banking financial company reported a 43.87 per cent jump in its standalone profit after tax at Rs 1,086.13 crore in the quarter ended March 2022, on the back of improvement in the net interest margin and asset quality. It had reported a standalone profit after tax of Rs 754.93 crore in the same period of FY21.

    Tata Power: The power arm of Tata Group has inked a pact with National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) to install 5,000 EV charging points across Maharashtra. Tata Power will provide a comprehensive EV charging solutions across properties of member developers of NAREDCO.

    Biocon: The pharma player reported a 4 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 283.9 crore in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2022. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 296.4 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

    Motilal Oswal Financial Services:
    The brokerage house reported a 35 per cent fall in net income at Rs 300 crore in the three months to March, even though its revenue grew by 21 per cent to Rs 1,100 crore. The company had posted a net income of Rs 461 crore in the year-ago period.

    Sterlite Technologies: The broadband technology firm reported a consolidated loss of Rs 22.44 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 124 crore in the same period a year ago.

    Bajaj Holdings and Investment: The holding company's consolidated net profit increased 16 per cent to Rs 1,105 crore for the fourth quarter ended March. The company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 949 crore in the January-March quarter of 2020-21 fiscal.

    IIFL Finance: The finance player reported a 30 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 321 crore for the March quarter, driven by strong loan sales and lower provisioning for impaired assets. For the full year ending March 2022, the company booked a Rs 1,188 crore in net income, a growth of 56 per cent year-on-year.

    PNB Housing Finance: The housing finance company reported a 33 per cent jump in its net profit to Rs 170 crore in quarter ended March 2022. It had posted a net profit of Rs 127 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.

    Shoppers Stop: The retail chain reported narrowing of its consolidated net loss to Rs 15.85 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2022. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 24.10 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago.

    Fineotex Chemical: The company reported a 42 per cent rise in the profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 17 crore, thanks to its strong topline and operating income. Revenue surged 62 per cent to Rs 121.4 crore by the end of March 2022 quarter.
