Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.87 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.83 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.66 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.23 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 1.05 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore), Cressanda Sol(numbers of share traded: 0.91 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 0.83 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 0.81 crore) and MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 0.60 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 308.95 points up at 16661.4, while BSE Sensex ended up 1041.08 points at 55925.74.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
