Colgate-Palmolive shares decline 0.25% as Sensex slides

Shares of the Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 1596.4 on BSE at 10:56AM (IST) on Tuesday, down 0.25 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 1375.55 and a high of Rs 1695.0.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap down opening in the morning.

A total of 1,214 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:56AM (IST).

The stock of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 43278.35 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 40.69, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 27.81. Return on equity (ROE) was at 62.16 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 142 stocks traded in the green, while 359 stocks were in the red.
