Stock market update: Nifty Financial Services index loses 1%; Bajaj Finserv down 2%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading lower at 01:20PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of ICICI Lombard (down 2.67 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (down 2.16 per cent), ICICI Pru Life (down 1.93 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.77 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (down 1.71 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 1.05 per cent) was the sole gainer.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 1.18 per cent down at 10886.15 around 01:20PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 79.10 points at 11525.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 276.61 points at 39026.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, IDFC First Bank Ltd. and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tata Steel (PP), J B Chem, MphasiS, Indiabulls Ventures (PP) and Vinati Organics hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Kuantum Papers Ltd. and Blue Chip India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
