Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of De Nora India, Vadilal Ind, Axita Cotton, Maharashtra Seam. and Priti International, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 18.15 points up at 15850.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Electrotherm, Sona Hi Sona Jewell, Chambal Fertilisers, Vaxtex Cotfab and GTL Infra, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 31 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, Hindalco, M&M, Coal India Ltd and HDFC Life were among top gainers during the day, while Titan Company, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, Divis Labs and Adani Ports SEZ ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 16.17 points up at 53177.45.

Traders piled up positions in Industrial Equipment, Gas & Petroleum, Paper, Metals - Non Ferrous and Telecommunications sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Miscellaneous and Media & Entertainment sectors during the day.
