Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 48.88 points down at 55769.23 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Noida Toll Brid(down 14.92 per cent), Sprayking Agro Equip(down 14.67 per cent), Alicon Castalloy(down 10.78 per cent), Raymond(down 10.00 per cent) and ACE Software(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 12 stocks closed in the green, while 38 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 43.7 points down at 16584.3.
On the BSE, Ramco Cements, Dalmia Bharat, JK Cement, Hikal Ltd and Pharmaids Pharm hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Aether Industries Ltd., Sadhna Broadcast, Galactico Corporate, Ramchandra Leasing and Zenith Birla touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
