Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 43.78 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 25.11 crore), Tuticorin Alkali(Rs. 25.05 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 21.06 crore), TCS(Rs. 18.56 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 15.85 crore), PNB(Rs. 14.89 crore), Zee Ent.(Rs. 14.08 crore), Motherson Sumi(Rs. 13.28 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 12.37 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:06AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 141.75 points down at 17959.45, while BSE Sensex was down 516.62 points at 60230.69 as of 11:06AM(IST)on January 10.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 6.15 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.20 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 2.00 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.79 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent) were among the top losers.
