Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.67% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:26AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Phoenix Mills(up 0.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oberoi Realty(down 3.56 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.88 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.96 per cent), DLF(down 1.74 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 1.34 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.67 per cent at 442.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 196.4 points at 17562.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 643.41 points at 59002.74.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 6 were trading in the green, while 44 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sikko Industries, DB Corp., Indo Amines, Eros Media and Ruby Mills hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Agni Green Power Ltd., Swaraj Suiting Ltd., Debock Sales & Mktg, GVK Power Infra and Jindal Cotex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
