Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.28% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:25AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 2.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.68 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.88 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.88 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.65 per cent) and DLF(down 0.63 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.28 per cent at 388.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 66.75 points at 15783.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 204.9 points at 52972.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., Vodafone Idea, ONGC, Suzlon Energy and MRPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Axita Cotton, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Jamna Auto, Dangee Dums and Priti International hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Latteys Industries, Krishna Defence and Allied Industries Ltd., Muthoot Finance, We Win and HEC Infra Projects hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
