    Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

    Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Addi Industries(19.43%), Zodiac Ventures(16.78%) and CIL Nova Petro(16.15%).

    The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1045.6 points down at 51495.79, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 331.55 points down at 15360.6.

    In the Nifty50 index, 3 stocks closed in the green, while 47 stocks ended in the red.

    Meanwhile, stocks such as Ranjeet Mechatronics, Marathon Nextgen, Galactico Corporate, Gallops Enterprise Ltd. and Sreechem Resins hit their fresh 52-week high, while BCPL Railway Infra, Sagar Cements, CMI Ltd, Arshiya and Machino Plastic touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
