Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 14.11 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 10.75 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 9.98 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.77 crore), Ibull Housing Fin(numbers of share traded: 7.76 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 7.68 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.01 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 3.91 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.90 crore) and PNB(numbers of share traded: 3.64 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 72.95 points down at 16167.1, while BSE Sensex ended down 276.46 points at 54088.39.

On the other hand, Shree Cements Ltd.(down 3.78 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.31 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.20 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
