Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 12.90 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 6.60 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.10 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.59 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.12 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 3.00 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 2.50 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 2.25 crore), UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 1.93 crore) and JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.81 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 103.55 points down at 18129.0, while BSE Sensex was down 349.18 points at 60945.02 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.15 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.14 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.55 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
