Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 8.21 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 7.64 crore), UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 6.88 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 6.42 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 5.85 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(number of shares traded: 4.94 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.62 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.57 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 2.93 crore) and Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 2.81 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 4.6 points down at 18380.7, while BSE Sensex was down 17.52 points at 61684.77 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.90 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
