AgenciesNEW DELHI: Shares of Avro India, Kohinoor Foods, Regency Ceramic, Kritika Wires and Voltamp Trans, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 156.15 points to 15712.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Vaxtex Cotfab, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., Star Health, Akash Infra-Proj and Dharani Sugars, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 47 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 3 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Britannia and Tata Steel were among top gainers, while Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, BPCL, Infosys and Divis Labs traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 489.69 points up at 52755.41 at 09:59AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Glass, Textiles, Tea / Coffee and Rubber sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Miscellaneous and Media & Entertainment sectors.
