Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 128.80 crore), Central Bank(numbers of share traded: 21.59 crore), UCO Bank(numbers of share traded: 20.39 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 17.85 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(numbers of share traded: 16.25 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 14.89 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 14.31 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 11.56 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 10.58 crore) and JP Power(numbers of share traded: 9.94 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 110.85 points up at 18608.0, while BSE Sensex ended up 402.73 points at 62533.3.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
