Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:19AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.53%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.68%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.47%), Agro Phos(up 1.25%), Aries Agro(up 0.99%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.80%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.46%), National Fertilizer(up 0.43%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.39%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.38%) were among the top gainers.

Bohra Industries(down 4.99%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.35%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.48%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.29%), G S F C(down 0.90%), Coromandel International(down 0.65%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.53%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.34%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 77.45 points down at 18623.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 262.64 points at 62571.96 at around 10:19AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 2.33%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.71%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.55%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.48%), Axis Bank(up 0.47%), SBI Life(up 0.4%), Britannia Industries(up 0.38%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.37%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.27%) and State Bank of India(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Steel(down 1.81%), HCL Technologies(down 1.71%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.65%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.56%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.29%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.28%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.28%), JSW Steel(down 1.26%), Eicher Motors(down 1.23%) and Infosys(down 1.21%) were trading in the red.
