BENGALURU: Amusement park operator Wonderla Holidays has announced a change in directorate to help the company undergo digital business transformation and recovery from the pandemic effects. The board of the hospitality brand has elevated director Arun Chittillappilly as the managing director. This move also comes after the announcement of retirement of Kochuseph Chittilappilly, promoter and non-executive director of Wonderla Holidays, who will continue in an advisory role as chairman emeritus of the company.
“The post-pandemic era needs a fresh re-imagining of the entire business model, including an enterprise-wide digital transformation that would impact effectiveness and efficiencies across every function and department. Additionally, customer experiences will have to be virtual as well as physical, which requires a totally new set of capabilities,” the company said in a press statement.

Due to health restrictions caused by the pandemic, the company’s joint managing director George Joseph, also tendered his resignation from day-to-day management and will continue as non-executive non-independent director of the company.

Wonderla’s board has appointed R. Lakshminarayanan, non-executive and non-independent director, as the non-executive vice chairman to help the company make the digital business transformation.

Arun Chittilappilly has over 15 years of experience as director at Wonderla and was the prime mover in putting up the parks at Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
