    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

    NEW DELHI: ICICI Bank(Rs. 1121.40 crore), RIL(Rs. 1081.64 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1059.99 crore), IndusInd Bank(Rs. 986.27 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 872.46 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 851.52 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 839.88 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 648.48 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 624.35 crore) and HDFC(Rs. 561.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index ended the session 189.6 points down at 18042.95, while BSE Sensex fell 636.75 points to 60657.45.

    In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.50 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, JSW Steel Ltd.(down 4.12 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.83 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.10 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
