Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 14.44 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 6.85 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 4.92 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.07 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 3.65 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.51 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.21 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 3.02 crore), National Fert(number of shares traded: 2.20 crore) and Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.14 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 100.25 points down at 18022.25, while BSE Sensex was down 315.97 points at 60594.31 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.09 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up -0.01 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up -0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.93 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.76 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
