Stocks to buy or sell today: 7 short-term trading ideas by experts for 15 March 2023

The Indian market opened higher on Wednesday tracking the positive trends seen in other Asian markets. The S&P BSE Sensex rose more than 100 points in opening trade.

India VIX marginally fell down by 0.60% from 16.22 to 16.21 levels on Tuesday. Volatility took a pause after a spike of one week but it is quoting near the highest levels of the last 26 trading sessions, data showed.

On the weekly options front, the maximum Call OI is placed at 17,500 and then towards 17,400 strikes while the maximum Put OI is placed at 17,000 and then towards 16,800 strikes.

“Options data suggests a broader trading range in between 16,600 to 17,500 zones while an immediate trading range in between 16,800 to 17,300 zones,” Chandan Taparia, Analyst-Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, said.

Nifty failed to hold its bounce and drifted below 17,000 zones in the second half of the session on Tuesday. The index continued its losing streak for the fourth consecutive session.

“Nifty formed a bearish candle on a daily scale and has been making lower lows from the last five trading sessions,” said Taparia.

“Till Nifty remains below 17,250 zones, weakness could continue towards next support of 17,000 then 16,800 levels while on the upside hurdles are seen at 17,250 and 17,350 levels,” he recommends.
