China says cut of military comms with US was necessary
Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said on Monday, answering reporter questions, that Beijing's decision to cut military communication channels with Washington was a "necessary warning to provocations."
Wu underscored that "the bottom line cannot be broken. Communication requires sincerity." He added that while the US is the one creating a crisis, it is trying to claim that it is resolving it at the same time.
The spokesperson further stated that Washington is not only trying to find excuses for its wrongdoings but is also aiming to "confuse people" and blame others. He stressed that the US needs to "give up the illusion that they can use Taiwan to control China."
