π Highlights of RBI Monetary Policy π
πΈ RBI raised repo rates by 50 bps to 5.4%.
πΈThe standard Deposit Facility rate (SDF) adjusted to 5.15%.
πΈ Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate and bank rate were revised at 5.65%.
πΈ Its the 3rd consecutive rate hike after 40 bps in May and 50 bps in June so total hike in this year is 1.40% as of now.
πΈ Retail inflation running above the comfort level of 6% and was at 7.1% in the month of June.
πΈ Growth Projections: Q1 16.2%, Q2 6.2%, Q3 4.1%, Q4 4% for the current fiscal year with risk broadly balanced.
πΈ Inflation: The inflation projections remain unchanged at 6.7% for the year. While for the Q2 at 7.1%, Q3 at 6.4% and Q4 at 5.8%.
πΈ RBI proposed to enable Bharat Bill Payment Systemto accept cross boarder inward bill payments.
