GLOBAL MARKETS
* Benchmark indices in US ended higher on Monday led by gains in the shares of technology companies. Shares of Twitter soared 27% after a disclosure that Tesla's Elon Musk, the world's richest person, held 9.2% passive stake in the micro blogging site.
Markets in Asia were mixed in early trade today amid a rise in crude oil prices as western countries were evaluating imposition of tougher sanctions on Russia for alleged atrocities in Ukraine. Mainland China and Hong Kong markets were closed for a holiday.

* The initial public offering of Hariom Pipe Industries was subscribed 3.44 times on day four. The company received bids for 2.92 Cr shares, against 85 lakh shares on offer.
* Venus Pipes & Tubes, stainless steel pipes and tubes manufacturer and exporter, has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India for its initial public offering.

* AU SMALL FINANCE BANK: Deposits at 52,580 Cr on Mar 31, up 46% on year.
* BAJAJ AUTO: Is planning to go for a price hike later this month to offset the rising input costs.
* BAJAJ FINANCE: Booked 6.3 mln new loans in the last quarter of 2021-22 (Apr-Mar), indicating that the non-bank lender remained largely unaffected by the third wave of COVID-19. The number is higher than the 5.5 mln new loans booked in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
* BANDHAN BANK: The divestment of the mutual fund business of IDFC is in the last leg, with the bank likely to be the top contender, sources said.
* BEML: Has achieved an all-time record revenue from operations of over 4000 Cr for 2021-22 (Apr-Mar), as per provisional figures.
* CENTURY PLYBOARDS: Board has approved incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Century Ports, for carrying out the project for rejuvenation of Khidderpore Docks (KPD-I West) on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis in Kolkata at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.
* DCB BANK: Has hiked its marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by 13 basis points across all tenures effective today.
* EMBASSY OFFICE PARKS REIT: Has raised 10 bln rupees through five-year bonds to fund its operations, market sources said. The coupon rate on these bonds is 7.35%.
* FEDERAL BANK: The bank's gross advances rose 9.5% on year to nearly 1.5 trln rupees as on Mar 31, according to provisional data. Gross advances stood at 1.4 trln rupees as on Dec 31.
* FUTURE RETAIL: The Supreme Court has asked Amazon NV Investment Holdings Llc and the company to request the Delhi High Court to decide on priority on the merits of the petitions to enforce the arbitration award.
* GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS: Board has approved repurchasing an aggregate principal amount of $75 mln of bonds by way of on-market purchases at an early redemption amount, along with accrued and unpaid interest. These bonds were issued in 2016 and listed on Singapore Exchange Trading.
* HDFC BANK: Has requested the Reserve Bank of India to grant leeway in meeting the norms on statutory liquidity ratio, cash reserve ratio, priority sector lending and grandfathering of some loans after the parent HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE CORP merges with the bank.
HDFC Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Shashidhar Jagdishan said the proposed merger of parent HDFC with the bank is valued at $40 bln.
The bank may not be able to make it to the MSCI India Index even after merger with HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE CORP as the bank would not have sufficient headroom for foreign institutional investors to invest in its stock, brokerage firm Macquarie Research said in a report.
* HINDUSTAN ZINC: Mined metal production rose 3% on year to 295,000 tn in Jan-Mar. For 2021-22 (Apr-Mar), mined metal production was up 5% on year at 1.02 mln tn, supported by higher ore production across the mines.
* INDUSIND BANK: The bank's net advances rose 13% on year and 5% on quarter to 2.4 lakh Cr , as on Mar 31.
* INTERGLOBE AVIATION: Appointed R.K. Singh as principal adviser to the managing director with immediate effect. As a principal adviser, he will also be part of the leadership team.
IndiGo has started disciplinary action against its pilots who are trying to organise a strike. Till now, the airline has suspended five pilots in what is the first case of action against organised labour protest the airline has witnessed since its inception.
* IRB INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPERS: The hybrid annuity project of eight-lane Vadodara Kim Expressway in Gujarat implemented by wholly-owned subsidiary VKl Expressway has been issued a provisional certificate by the competent authority.
* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: Mahindra Electric Mobility has launched its new Alfa compressed natural gas passenger and cargo variants of three wheelers, priced at 257,000 rupees (ex-showroom Lucknow).
* MANGALORE REFINERY & PETROCHEMICALS: Has bought 1 mln barrels of Russian Urals crude for May loading via a tender, three trade sources said, a rare purchase driven by the discount offered.
* MOIL: The company's total turnover rose 22% on year to 1436 Cr in 2021-22 (Apr-Mar), as per provisional figures.
* MRF: The Competition Commission of India visited the company's premises on Wednesday in connection with its investigation into alleged violation of the Competition Act, and the company has fully cooperated with the investigation.
* PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES: Piramal Pharma, an arm of the company, has acquired a 5.55% stake in Yapan Bio for 20.35 Cr.
* PVR: INOX LEISURE and the company, which had announced their merger last month, have a combined pipeline of 2,000 screens and aim to double this size in the next seven years, entailing an investment of 4000 Cr Rs.
* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Has bagged an order from Payments Canada to transform its payment system operations and help implement real-time rail, the new payments system that will allow Canadians to initiate payments and receive irrevocable funds in seconds.

* VEDANTA: The company's aluminium production in Jan-Mar rose 8% on year to 572,000 tn.
* VODAFONE IDEA: British telecom major Vodafone has raised its stake in the company to 47.61% through its subsidiary Prime Metals. The company earlier held 44.39% stake in the company.
* WOCKHARDT: Appointed Pramod Gupta as chief financial officer with immediate effect.
* ZOMATO: The Competition Commission of India has ordered its director-general to conduct a detailed probe into conduct of food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy after complaints from the National Restaurant Association of India. The regulator has asked the director-general to submit a report within 60 days.
